Up to $1,500 bonus paid over 1 year (based on performance and eligibility)
Frito-Lay is seeking inclusive and committed General Utility Technician/ Sanitation Technicians who will be responsible for general labor and cleaning and sanitizing processing and packaging equipment that produces the products you already know and love. Although you will start with Frito-Lay, this job can open the door to career opportunities with our parent company, PepsiCo. Your job will be to ensure that our customers continue to trust us when it comes to food safety.
As a General Utility Technician/ Sanitation Technician, your weekly work hours are generally 40+ hours per week. Work hours can be variable and usually involve working nights and weekends. Holiday work is required.
Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you could expect to perform during the workday as a General Utility:
* Supporting production by stacking and feeding bread into the equipment
* Cleaning work environments
* Packing chip bags into boxes
* Additional activities supporting production.
Here is a list of some of the more frequent tasks you can expect to perform during the workday as a Sanitation Technician:
* Cleaning the equipment and lines necessary for manufacturing products
* Wiping down metal conveyors, as well as cleaning the machine itself
* Working with strong, corrosive chemicals, hot water, and cleaning agents
Please be sure you meet the following minimum requirements before starting your application:
* You have the ability to lift 70 pounds safely
* See (near acuity and far acuity)
* You can climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for up to 12 hours per day with or without a reasonable accommodation
* You can manage multiple tasks simultaneously
